GenFuel 1.1 is here, and the headline is simple: the app now supports iPhone Duo. Unfold it and GenFuel opens up into a roomy three-column layout instead of stretching a phone screen across a big canvas. While we were at it, a few other screens got more room too.
Built for iPhone Duo
Unfolded, the calculator spreads across three columns: Consumption, Runtime and Fuel price sit side by side, with your result card above them. Everything you need to work out your fuel and cost is in view at once, with no scrolling between inputs.
More columns in more places
- Landscape on iPhone. Rotate your phone and Pro Max and Plus models now show three columns too.
- iPad in portrait. iPad used to switch to multiple columns only in landscape. Now portrait gets three columns as well.
Shortcut buttons that fit
Those quick-pick values under Price and Consumption used to get cramped when a column was narrow. Now, when they don't fit on one row, they wrap neatly onto two instead of squeezing, so every value stays readable and easy to hit.
Mode switcher under the title
The Fuel Needed / Runtime switcher has moved out of the navigation bar and now sits right under the title, where it's easy to find and reach.
Keyboard fix
Here's one for everyone, not just foldable owners: if you were typing a value and the content at the bottom of the screen was stuck behind the keyboard, you couldn't scroll it into view. That's fixed. You can now scroll it above the keyboard while you type.
